Recruiting information moves fast and goes stale even faster: a commitment, a transfer, a reclass can be a day old and already wrong on most boards you'll find. Most of them fill the gaps anyway, because a complete-looking table reads better than an honest one.
Big Board Hoops was built around the opposite rule. Nothing ships without a source behind it, and nothing stays published once that source stops holding up. A row with no confirmation isn't approximated, it's left off the board, or marked as unconfirmed until someone can check it. That's slower than generating a full roster from a guess.
