Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

This policy explains what information Big Board Hoops collects, how we use it, and the choices you have, including how players and parents can correct or remove a player profile.

1. Who we are

Big Board Hoops ("we," "us") publishes basketball prospect rankings and scouting tools at bigboardhoops.com. Questions about this policy or your information go to hello@bigboardhoops.com.

2. Information we collect from members

When you create an account or use the site, we collect:

  • Account details: your email address and name, and your Google account's email and name if you sign in with Google.
  • Plan requests: the plan you ask for, and for Coach the program name and number of staff seats.
  • Your own work: private evaluations, Scout notes, My Board watchlists and anything else you save. These are visible only to you.
  • Usage information: pages viewed, features used, and basic device and browser details, collected through our hosting provider's analytics.
  • Messages you send us, such as corrections, questions or press requests.

We do not collect payment card numbers on this site. While we invoice plans by hand, payment is handled outside the site. When we add online checkout, the payment processor will handle card details directly and we will update this policy.

3. Information about players

Our boards cover high school, college, professional and international players, and many high school players are under 18. We publish information gathered from primary public sources, such as school and program websites, official announcements, published rosters and publicly posted video. That can include a player's name, school, hometown, class year, position, height and weight, rankings, commitment status, photo and links to public video.

We do not publish players' home addresses, personal phone numbers or personal email addresses.

Corrections and removal. A player, parent or guardian can ask us to correct a profile or remove it. Use our correction and removal form, or email hello@bigboardhoops.com with the player's name and what you'd like changed. We reply within 10 business days, and we remove profiles of players under 18 on a parent's or guardian's request.

4. How we use information

  • To run your account and give you the features of your plan.
  • To process plan requests, set up coaching programs and handle billing.
  • To keep the boards accurate, including acting on corrections.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To send service messages about your account. If you join our email list, we send those emails too, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • To protect the site and its members and to meet legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers that run the site for us, such as our hosting and database provider, and later our payment and email providers. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
  • With your coaching program, if you hold a Coach seat: the program's billing contact can know who holds its seats.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our members, players or the public.
  • With a buyer or successor if Big Board Hoops is sold or reorganized, under this policy's protections.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to remember choices such as a plan you picked before signing up. Our hosting provider's analytics record page views and feature use. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

7. Keeping and deleting your information

We keep account information while your account is open. You can ask us to delete your account and the private work saved to it by emailing hello@bigboardhoops.com. We delete it within 30 days, except for records we must keep for billing, tax or legal reasons.

8. Children

Accounts are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email hello@bigboardhoops.com and we will delete it. Information about high school players on our boards is covered in section 3.

9. Security

We use access controls so members see only what their plan allows and private notes stay private. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell members by email or on the site. Please also read our Terms of Service.
